Restoring Reliable Valve Performance
Industrial valves are exposed to pressure, temperature changes, process media and repeated operating cycles. Over time, these conditions can cause leakage, restricted movement, damaged sealing surfaces and poor control response.
Unyazi begins each repair with an assessment of the valve and the reported problem. This helps our team identify whether the fault is caused by worn components, contamination, mechanical damage, incorrect adjustment or problems within the actuator and control assembly. The repair is then planned according to the condition of the equipment and the work required to restore dependable operation.
Onsite and In-House Valve Repairs
Some faults can be resolved directly at the plant. Unyazi’s field technicians can attend the site to assess the equipment, complete practical repairs and help return critical systems to operation. Valves requiring more extensive work can be transferred to our Cape Town workshop. In-house repairs may include complete disassembly, cleaning, detailed inspection, component replacement, machining and overhaul.
This combined capability allows Unyazi to select the most suitable repair approach rather than limiting the work to one location.

Initial Assessment
The valve condition, operating history and reported fault are reviewed before repair work begins.
Disassembly and Cleaning
Components are separated and cleaned so that wear, damage and contamination can be properly identified.
Repair or Component Replacement
Damaged parts are repaired where practical, while worn components can be replaced with suitable parts.
Reassembly and Adjustment
The valve is rebuilt and mechanical settings are adjusted according to the required operating conditions.
Calibration and Functional Testing
Automated components can be calibrated and the completed assembly tested to confirm correct movement and response.
Repair Reporting
The work completed and test results can be documented to support maintenance planning and equipment history.
Quality Assurance and Operational Validation
Repair work must restore more than the appearance of the equipment. The completed valve must operate correctly within its intended system. Unyazi checks repaired components against the relevant valve specifications and operating requirements. Depending on the equipment, validation may include movement checks, pressure testing, seat leakage testing and actuator calibration.
Repair activities are managed through controlled quality procedures aligned with Unyazi’s ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards. This process helps confirm that the repaired valve is ready to return to service and provides clients with a clear record of the work completed.
