In-House Valve Services
Unyazi provides in-house inspection, testing, overhaul and repair services for industrial valves and related control equipment.
Our workshop allows equipment to be disassembled, cleaned and assessed under controlled conditions. This gives our technical team the time, equipment and access needed to identify faults, restore worn components and verify performance before the unit returns to service.
Comprehensive Valve Inspection and Overhaul
Continuous industrial use can lead to wear, corrosion, contamination and changes in valve performance. Unyazi carries out a structured inspection and overhaul process to identify these problems and restore suitable equipment.Once a valve reaches our workshop, it is carefully disassembled so that the internal and external components can be inspected. Parts are thoroughly cleaned to remove product residue, corrosion and other build-up that may affect movement or sealing.
Worn or damaged parts are identified and suitable OEM components are fitted where required. The valve is then reassembled and prepared for testing. This process helps Unyazi address the underlying cause of poor performance rather than only repairing visible damage. It can also extend the useful life of industrial equipment and reduce the need for premature replacement.
Valve Testing and Diagnostics
Unyazi carries out controlled workshop testing to assess valve condition, pressure integrity, sealing performance and mechanical response before and after servicing. These tests help our technicians confirm whether a valve can return to service, requires additional work or should be considered for replacement. The results also create a useful performance record for maintenance planning and future inspections.
Unyazi’s workshop can accommodate valve sizes from approximately half an inch to 50 inches, with pressure requirements up to ASME Class 4500, depending on the equipment and testing requirements.
Hydrostatic Testing
Unyazi uses hydrostatic testing to assess the strength and pressure integrity of valve bodies and other pressure-containing components.
The valve is filled with a suitable test fluid and exposed to controlled pressure. This helps identify leakage, weakness or structural damage and confirms whether the equipment can safely withstand its required operating pressure.
Pop Testing
Pop testing is carried out on pressure relief equipment to confirm that the valve opens at the required set pressure.
The valve is gradually pressurised under controlled conditions until the opening point is reached and recorded. The test can also confirm whether the valve reseats correctly after relieving pressure, helping to identify sticking, set-point changes or poor sealing.
Seat Leak Testing
Seat leak testing determines whether media passes through a valve while it is in the closed position.
Pressure is applied to one side of the valve and any leakage past the seat is measured or observed. This allows Unyazi to assess the condition of the seat and sealing surfaces and confirm whether the valve provides the required level of shutoff.
Performance Diagnostics
Unyazi’s technicians assess valve travel, opening and closing behaviour, pressure response, mechanical resistance and general movement.
These checks help identify worn internal parts, damaged sealing surfaces, restricted movement, incorrect adjustment and actuator-related faults. This allows repair work to focus on the actual cause of poor performance.
Positioner Inspection and Calibration
Valve positioners help automated valves respond accurately to signals from the control system. Incorrect calibration, mechanical resistance or internal wear can lead to slow movement, poor positioning and unstable process control.
Unyazi can inspect, calibrate and service positioners within our workshop. The positioner can also be tested with the refurbished valve and actuator to confirm that the complete assembly responds correctly. This process may include checking valve travel, response to command signals and movement across the required operating range. Correct calibration helps reduce control lag and supports more predictable valve operation.
Specialist Safety Equipment Servicing
Our in-house capabilities extend beyond standard process valves to equipment used for pressure management and flame protection.
Reporting and Corrective Action Support
Unyazi provides clear documentation throughout the inspection and repair process. Reports can include the initial condition of the equipment, tests completed, faults identified, parts replaced and restorative work performed. This creates a reliable service history for maintenance planning, future troubleshooting and asset management.
Where valves or actuators experience recurring operational problems, our technical team can review the available test results and performance information. We can then recommend corrective actions aimed at resolving the source of the fault and improving long-term equipment reliability.
